GET TO KNOW ME

I’m Gayathri, but most people call me Gaya.

My own experiences have deeply shaped the way I practice. I understand the courage it takes to show up for yourself, and the tender balance of challenge and relief that comes with true healing. This insight guides how I listen — not just to what you say, but to the subtler, often unspoken currents beneath your words.

I offer therapy that is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative, combining existential-humanistic, narrative, gestalt, and compassion-focused approaches with an attuned, intuitive sense of what each person needs. I also include creative, embodied, and somatic approaches, inviting ways to explore your inner world beyond words — through movement, imagery, or symbolic expression — when language alone isn’t enough.

In sessions, I bring a calm, attentive presence, grounded in compassion and authenticity. I value humour, ease, and safety, creating space where you can explore yourself openly, without judgment. My aim is to witness and support you fully, to help you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have gone unnoticed, and to walk alongside you as you navigate change.

Working together, we might:

  • Explore and reshape stories shaped by trauma, grief, or survival

  • Clarify values, identity, and life purpose

  • Strengthen agency, self-compassion, and resilience

  • Engage creativity and body-based awareness as pathways to insight

I see healing not as erasing scars, but as learning to carry them differently — finding meaning in what you’ve endured, and stepping forward with courage, authenticity, and choice.
